Increase of EAD Automatic Extension

Starting January 13, 2025, the USCIS will permanently increase the automatic extension period for “certain” Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) renewals.  The EAD automatic extension will apply to certain applicants who file a timely renewal of their EAD (I-765 form).  The final rule aims to prevent applicants from experiencing work lapses due to lengthy USCIS processing time.
